Brief Market Update — What Is Happening?

There is no real reason for any concern; no significant vulnerability or flaw in crypto or the underlying system has recently been discovered.

Take a step back and look at the bigger picture — when we started the CRYPTO20 ICO the total cryptocurrency market cap was only $150bn. It is now still approx. $350bn. This kind of relative gain would take a decade on the stock market.

Corrections are healthy, and double-digit week-on-week gains are not sustainable in the long run.

ETHEREUM INVESTORS ARE STILL EARLY TO THE SCENE

Ethereum has the potential – and is best positioned today – to create this infrastructure. Existing fiat currencies like the US dollar cannot be directly programmed to move autonomously. Complex scripts and databases can achieve similar outcomes to Ethereum, but the costs, risks, lack of trust and permissioned nature of such a structure becomes enormously unappealing to every party involved. 

他の通貨との互換性の確保と言った決済・取引基盤としての役割の面でETH の優位は大きく、大きなポテンシャルがある一方、まだ様々な開発が進むのには暫く時間が掛かるとの指摘です。
